An avoidable catastrophe

Acute malnutrition is a global crisis affecting 50 million children worldwide. Yet, when compared with other global health crises – AIDS, the COVID-19 pandemic, etc., the progress toward improved care has been slow and under prioritized.

The International Rescue Committee wanted to create an animation to support the work they are doing to bring attention to this issue, and share the evidence-based solutions that could dramatically improve health outcomes for children.

In addition to the animation, the IRC wanted to create a companion 2-pager to send with the video to their partners to use as part of a communications toolkit. Together, the video and the two-pager equips IRC and their partners with the language and story to communicate about this critical issues to decision makers in the government and funding space.
