Homeplace Under Fire – Farm Aid

Homeplace Under Fire is the story of American farm advocates and their thirty-year fight to keep family farmers on the land. The Farm Crisis of the 1980s drove hundreds of thousands of family farmers into foreclosure.

Out of that crisis came a group of courageous farm advocates, many of them women, who stood up to fight for themselves and their communities.

Farm Aid, was founded more than 30 years ago by Willie Nelson. The organization supports family farmers year round and holds an annual benefit concert to celebrate farmers and the key role they play in feeding America. Farm Aid commissioned this piece to mark their 30th anniversary. We edited this film alongside director Charles D. Thompson, Brooke Darrah Shuman, and the folks at Farm Aid.
